That’s what I call The Full Circle in Yoga!

In 2007, after an injury caused by an emotional shock, I could not use by left arm anymore. I saw many doctors, a physical therapist. I even went to an acupuncturist and a massage therapist but nothing was working. My last resort was spine surgery between C4 and C5.  I refused.  The pain was atrocious. Then, I met Shawna Emrick. She introduced me to yoga and worked with me patiently twice a week.  Her love, kindness, and most of all her knowledge helped me so much.  The nonstop pain started to fade. I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. With time, I became passionate about yoga although my arm wasn’t yet fully recovered. Then I met Erika Hildebrandt and she introduced me to Ashtanga. I was hooked. She would see me every day for a private lesson. I cried so much. There was a lot of emotional pain that needed to get out of my body. I felt like the pain didn’t belong to me, it was almost too strong. After two years of intensive work, I felt free.  Erika showed a lot of patience and love.  She is also an amazing teacher.  I became such a believer in Yoga that I completed a teacher course/certification in Vinyasa and another one in Ashtanga.  I had the privilege to work with amazing teachers and their wisdom and knowledge lighted me through my path. Now, to come full circle, I am teaching Shawna, my first teacher, the magic of Ashtanga.  It is such an incredible sensation to be in a position to help your teacher.  Thank you for this gift, Shawna!

  1. This is so touching and truly beautiful! I am so honored to be sharing the journey of life together with you and now the practice of Ashtanga! Amazing! I never thought I would enjoy Ashtanga, but you, Ginetta, have taught it in such a Spiritual/Heartfelt way that it has turned into something so new for me. Thank you for this gift!

  2. I do not even know how I stopped up right here, but I assumed this submit was once good. I do not understand who you might be but definitely you’re going to a famous blogger in case you are not already. Cheers!
